What information do we collect from users of the website?
When we refer to your “personal data”, this means anything that you have provided us from your visit to the website that identifies you personally. Such as your computer’s IP Address, location and any details provided to us from ‘contact us’ forms, newsletter sign-ups, and/or event tickets for our interior design workshops or other events carried out throughout the year, (or that you authorise a third party to give to us on your behalf).
We use a WordPress plugin called WP Email Capture to aid management of our email marketing list. Should you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the following data.
1. Your Name (or what you chose to address yourself as). This is used for simple personalisation purposes.
2. Your Email Address. This is used to contact you and include you in our newsletter.
3. The date of signup. This is so we can reference when to delete your data at a later date.
Any financial data that you provide to Niki Schafer when purchasing a bespoke design consultation or event ticket is held with personal banking and isn’t part of the standard “personal data” discussed in this document for separate business reasons. No personal financial data is kept on file, this is only kept secure with your personal banking for which we do not have access to.
For transparency to our customers, the information we collect is as follows:
Some of the data you enter into the website may be “personal data”, which identifies you and your preferences personally. These have been supplied to us by entering details into a contact form or event ticket and can be unsubscribed to at any time by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of the page.
We may receive information from 3rd party sources such as Paypal for ticketing, charity and event event organisers, The Henley House and Garden Show and others). These are parties that you have authorised to share your personal information with (your full name, address, contact number, date of event etc but NOT financial information).
Please be assured that we DO NOT hold any financial data on you as this is information held with your preferred third party financial data manager such as Paypal for example that you have used to secure an event ticket or workshop etc.
We may further use, or permit selected third parties to use, your personal data to enable us to track and analyse Niki Schafer Interior Design website traffic and visitor trends, improve your browsing experience and to personalise and enhance the content and advertising we display.
